What is WebCT?
WebCT and Vista are web-based, interactive tools that U.H. instructors often use to deliver course information and material online. Vista is an upgraded version of WebCT.
WebCT and Vista are frequently used for online classes, but other types of classes (ex. televised or tape-purchase) often include online components that use these tools. Your instructor may rely on WebCT or Vista to communicate with you, deliver course materials, adminster exams, or hold group sessions online.
A few instructors for online classes create stand-alone websites instead of using WebCT or Vista.
You use WebCT and Vista through your web browser. Both are easy to learn and there are online tutorials for new users.
